The first being a new award this year called the "Restoration Award for Creativity and Excellence" (Shown Above) from Weta Workshop which comes with a Weta Workshop creation as a Trophy. This was won for the restoration work of carriage B231. This is a credit to the talented members who worked hard bringing this carriage back to the supurb condition it is in. See the gallery for the history and photos of carriage B231.
The second award is the 2006 Frieght Wagon Restoration Award. This is a particular proud award for the society as it was for Tank Wagon E 3705 which was built by our junior members under the guidance of Kevin Holland. Congratulations to all who took part in this project. You can get a glimpse of this tank wagon behind the junior members on this page. A photo of finished tank wagon E3705. Photograph by Colin Dash.
