January 18th Update.

The photo tells all!

Yes on the 18th January 2007 the first electrified engines travelled to Ferrymead under their own power.
We had to complete test’s for the auditor but after numerous trips and situations of maximum current etc the tests where completed.

The overhead is complete and the tests are audited so know it is into driver training so we can complete the first passenger run on the line.

We also have to complete the Ferrymead loop and a partial Moorhouse loop but this project will not be to difficult after the problems that we have overcome completing the overhead to Ferrymead.
