Tyler's Electric Train Tablet machines are used on days when more than one train is in operation.
Tablet machines are installed at each end of a track section and the machines are interlocked in such a way that only one tablet can be released at a given time.
Once the tablet has been removed it is secured in a tablet sling and handed to the train driver who carries it to the other end of the track section. There it is collected and returned to the tablet machine thus ensuring that only one train is operating in a section at a time.
